In the opening game of their season, the softball team from Yellowjackets came out strong as they defeated McKean with a massive score of 29-15.
Yellowjackets took control early on as they scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning, and everyone made it safely across the home plate. As the game progressed, Yellowjackets continued to keep their foot down at the plate with each batter managing to score. With constant aggression and great baserunning, they were able to make sure that they were getting runs whenever possible.
Although McKean was able to score 15 runs of thier own, they could not keep up with the offensive attack from the Yellowjackets. Every inning provided more runs for the Yellowjackets as all players managed to contribute to making sure that they won. This game was a great start to the Yellowjackets’ season, and they will now look to keep it going for the rest of the year.
