March 29th was the day of the 2026 Christina District Band Concert, where all the middle school and high school students were part of the Christiana High School, Glasgow High School, Bayard School, Gauger-Cobbs Middle School, Kirk Middle School, Pritchett Academy, Shue-Medill Middle School, and the Middle School Honors Academy.
Each school played 1-2 songs by a famous artist, but at the end, Newark High School’s steel drums took the spotlight by playing “Soda Pop” from Netflix’s K-pop Hunters. As soon as the crowd heard the name, they all got excited and cheerful. The whole crowd was so happy to hear that amazing song from an amazing movie; everyone’s attitude was going “up up up.”
